Trinity Church in Temple, like many churches, can’t hold services amid COVID-19 precautions, however their staff is continuing to bless the community through a drive-through prayer station.

With a tent in front of their church building at 7101 W Adams Ave they welcome those passing by to pull into their parking lot and receive a prayer through their car window.

“They pull up and we ask them what they need prayer for and we pray for them,” Susan Dowell said.

Cheryl Fausnacht had the idea after doing something similar after hurricane Harvey.

“We’re wanting to make sure that people understand that there is hope and there is a future for us beyond where we are now,” pastor Ed Dowell said.

They will be offering the drive-through service from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. the rest of the week and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Sunday.

“If we can help the community in this season during this crisis then we will do whatever it takes to do that,” Pastor Dowell said.

When cars drive up they ask if they would like for them to put masks or gloves on, and also have hand sanitizer on hand to keep everyone involved protected.
