TEXAS WOMAN CHARGED WITH TERRORISTIC THREATS AFTER COUGHING ON SHOPPERS

Be on the lookout. Lorraine Madriga, 18, has been going to stores in North Texas, coughing on shoppers, and telling them that she’s given them Coronavirus all while broadcasting live on social media. Now the Carrolton Police Department has charged her with making terroristic threats and has a warrant out for her arrest.

Carrolton Police posted this notice on their Facebook page:

We have identified the woman seen on social media claiming to be COVID-19 positive and willfully spreading it as 18-year-old Lorraine Maradiaga of Carrollton. We are charging her with Terroristic Threat, Texas Penal Code 22.07.

We have not located her yet. If you know where she is, call (972) 466-3333 or email CrimeTips@CityofCarrollton.com.

We have no confirmation Maradiaga is actually a threat to public health. We are, however, taking her social media actions very seriously.

If you see her, don’t take matters into your own hands, call the police immediately.
