This is why Trump will win re-election in 2020.
Marshall Kamena is a registered Democrat and was elected mayor of Livermore, CA.. He ran on the democratic ticket as he knew a Bay Area city would never vote for a Republican. He is as conservative as they come. He wrote the following:
Trump’s ‘lack of decorum, dignity, and statesmanship’ By Marshall Kamena, Mayor of Livermore, CA.
My Leftist friends (as well as many ardent #NeverTrumpers) constantly ask me if I’m not bothered by Donald Trump’s lack of decorum. They ask if I don’t think his tweets are “beneath the dignity of the office.”
Here’s my answer: We Right-thinking people have tried dignity. There could not have been a man of more quiet dignity than George W. Bush as he suffered the outrageous lies and politically motivated hatreds that undermined his presidency.
We tried statesmanship.
Could there be another human being on this earth who so desperately prized “collegiality” as John McCain?
We tried propriety – has there been a nicer human being ever than Mitt Romney?
And the results were always the same. This is because, while we were playing by the rules of dignity, collegiality and propriety, the Left has been, for the past 60 years, engaged in a knife fight where the only rules are those of Saul Alinsky and the Chicago mob.
I don’t find anything “dignified,” “collegial” or “proper” about Barack Obama’s lying about what went down on the streets of Ferguson in order to ramp up racial hatreds because racial hatreds serve the Democratic Party.
I don’t see anything “dignified” in lying about the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi and imprisoning an innocent filmmaker to cover your tracks.
I don’t see anything “statesman-like” in weaponizing the IRS to be used to destroy your political opponents and any dissent.
Yes, Obama was “articulate” and “polished” but in no way was he in the least bit “dignified,” “collegial” or “proper.”
The Left has been engaged in a war against America since the rise of the Children of the ‘60s. To them, it has been an all-out war where nothing is held sacred and nothing is seen as beyond the pale.. It has been a war they’ve fought with violence, the threat of violence, demagoguery and lies from day one – the violent take-over of the universities – till today.
The problem is that, through these years, the Left has been the only side fighting this war. While the Left has been taking a knife to anyone who stands in their way, the Right has continued to act with dignity, collegiality and propriety.
With Donald Trump, this all has come to an end. Donald Trump is America ’s first wartime president in the Culture War.
During wartime, things like “dignity” and “collegiality” simply aren’t the most essential qualities one looks for in their warriors. Ulysses Grant was a drunk whose behavior in peacetime might well have seen him drummed out of the Army for conduct unbecoming.
Had Abraham Lincoln applied the peacetime rules of propriety and booted Grant, the Democrats might well still be holding their slaves today.
Lincoln rightly recognized that, “I cannot spare this man. He fights.”
General George Patton was a vulgar-talking.. In peacetime, this might have seen him stripped of rank. But, had Franklin Roosevelt applied the normal rules of decorum then, Hitler and the Socialists would barely be five decades into their thousand-year Reich.
Trump is fighting. And what’s particularly delicious is that, like Patton standing over the battlefield as his tanks obliterated Rommel’s, he’s shouting, “You magnificent bastards, I read your book!”
That is just the icing on the cake, but it’s wonderful to see that not only is Trump fighting, he’s defeating the Left using their own tactics. That book is Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals – a book so essential to the Liberals’ war against America that it is and was the playbook for the entire Obama administration and the subject of Hillary Clinton’s senior thesis.
It is a book of such pure evil, that, just as the rest of us would dedicate our book to those we most love or those to whom we are most indebted, Alinsky dedicated his book to Lucifer.
Trump’s tweets may seem rash and unconsidered but, in reality, he is doing exactly what Alinsky suggested his followers do. First, instead of going after “the fake media” — and they are so fake that they have literally gotten every single significant story of the past 60 years not just wrong, but diametrically opposed to the truth, from the Tet Offensive to Benghazi, to what really happened on the streets of Ferguson, Missouri — Trump isolated CNN.. He made it personal.
Then, just as Alinsky suggests, he employs ridicule which Alinsky described as “the most powerful weapon of all.”… Most importantly, Trump’s tweets have put CNN in an untenable and unwinnable position. … They need to respond.
This leaves them with only two choices. They can either “go high” (as Hillary would disingenuously declare of herself and the fake news would disingenuously report as the truth) and begin to honestly and accurately report the news or they can double-down on their usual tactics and hope to defeat Trump with twice their usual hysteria and demagoguery. The problem for CNN (et al.) with the former is that, if they were to start honestly reporting the news, that would be the end of the Democratic Party they serve. It is nothing but the incessant use of fake news (read: propaganda) that keeps the Left alive.
Imagine, for example, if CNN had honestly and accurately reported then-candidate Barack Obama’s close ties to foreign terrorists (Rashid Khalidi), domestic terrorists (William Ayers & Bernardine Dohrn), the mafia (Tony Rezko) or the true evils of his spiritual mentor, Jeremiah Wright’s church.
Imagine if they had honestly and accurately conveyed the evils of the Obama administration’s weaponizing of the IRS to be used against their political opponents or his running of guns to the Mexican cartels or the truth about the murder of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and the Obama administration’s cover-up.
So, to my friends on the Left — and the #NeverTrumpers as well — do I wish we lived in a time when our president could be “collegial” and “dignified” and “proper”? Of course I do.
These aren’t those times. This is war. And it’s a war that the Left has been fighting without opposition for the past 50 years.
So, say anything you want about this president – I get it – he can be vulgar, he can be crude, he can be undignified at times. I don’t care. I can’t spare this man. He fights for America!
George P. Bush’s top communications staffer has resigned from his post after Charisma Villareal contacted the Human Resources department at the Texas General Land Office and accused Bryan Preston of harassment.
She sent copies of dozens of what she called threatening and harassing text messages from Preston. She says the exchange occurred after she spoke out on facebook against parts of the “Alamo Master Plan”, specifically as a descendant of an Alamo defender, she doesn’t want to see the Alamo Cenotaph monument moved or destroyed.
“Three minutes after I made that comment on the Save The Alamo Facebook page, I got a text on my personal cell phone telling me I was ridiculous and petty. This exchange went on for an hour. I have it all on screenshot,” Villarreal, a descendant of Tejano defender Gregorio Esparza, said at a news conference organized by the opponents last month.
Quote from the San Antonio Express-News
“The very next day, I got in touch with (human resources) at the GLO, and they told me they would handle it,” she said.
For his part, Preston says that he is leaving his post now that the Alamo Master Plan has been signed.
“The Alamo project is moving forward and so am I,” said Preston, one of six members of the Alamo master plan management committee. He called it an honor, “one that I’ll never forget.”
Of course, George P. Bush is in a race for reelection and these charges couldn’t come at a worse time.
The latest polling we’ve seen puts Bush up by only 5 points against his Democratic opponent, Miguel Suazo after two of Bush’s primary opponents endorsed him.
Libertarian candidate Matt Pina is mounting a surprise campaign which many Republican Party activists and party faithful have endorsed.
Texas General Land Office Poll:
George P. Bush (Republican) 41%Source: Miguel Suazo for GLO campaign
Miguel Suazo (Democrat) 36%
Matt Pina (Libertarian) 12%
The race for the General Land Office may very well depend on how many Texas Republicans decide not to vote for Bush. This resignation of a key staffer is certainly not a help for the Bush campaign.
Beto O’Rourke’s campaign was just caught smuggling campaign funds, knowingly illegally, to the caravan of illegal immigrants on their way from Central America.
This could spell not only the end of O’Rourke’s campaign, but the end of his life outside bars.
This really happened.

We got a Beto flyer in our mail the other day. It talks about the US Senate race as it affects Texas teachers. It’s full of a lot of misinformation so I thought I would address it. If you know a teacher who got this, please send this on.
The first thing I noticed is that this is a US Senate race. Ninety percent of the laws and regulations that education is subject to and over 90% of the funding it receives is from the state capital. Therefore, this race has very little to do with education or teachers since it is for a federal position. I wondered why teachers would be so concerned. Then I saw that this came not from teacher advocacy groups but the Texas Democratic party executive committee.
The first point they make is about public school funding. They knock Cruz for having “voted to give away upward of $600 million in school funding to private schools.” As proof, they cite Senate Amendment 1852. I looked it up. What that amendment did was to allow parents who have a 529 plan to use that money for any kind of education expense. The flyer wants you to think Cruz was diverting tax money to private schools when in fact, he wanted to allow parents more options in their kids’ education by allowing them to use money they had saved in a new way.
The second point they make is called Voucher Policy but they don’t talk about vouchers, other than to say O’Rourke opposes them. As for Cruz, they say he promised to eliminate the federal Department of Education. What does that have to do with vouchers? Voucher systems are state policy. Neither O’Rourke nor Cruz would be eligible to vote on something like that.
The third point they make is about Teacher Retirement. Like the last one, they go off on a tangent when it comes to Cruz. Teachers have their own separate retirement system that they pay into but the flyer complains about Cruz’s votes on Social Security, none of which affect teacher retirement.
While we’re on that subject, the Texas Teacher Retirement System used to be just as broke as Social Security. It was the Texas GOP and especially the Tea Party groups that lobbied the legislature in Austin to fully fund the system. Now, teachers in Texas have a secure, fully-funded retirement system.
The fourth point they make is about “High Stakes Testing.” This is where teachers, schools, and districts are rated on test scores. The complaint is that it forces teachers to “teach to the test.” O’Rourke opposes this and they say Cruz is for it.
Remember I said that 90% of legislation that affects schools come from the states? The other 10% comes from the federal government through the Department of Education. Remember how earlier they were knocking Cruz because he wants to get rid of that department? If that department went away, so would the high stakes testing! That’s why Cruz and other Republicans want to get rid of it. All it does is impose these kinds of mandates on the states. It was created to improve test scores but in forty years, it has not accomplished that goal. It’s time to think of something new.
The fifth point they make is labeled “Teachers” but it should be “Teachers unions” because it credits O’Rourke with supporting them and quotes Cruz as saying that teacher unions are a “political army.” The thing is that Cruz is right on this point. Political action is one of the big things unions do and that is especially true of teacher unions. In the US, two of the most powerful and politically-connected unions are the American Federation of Teachers and the Nation Education Association.
The flyer wants you to think that Cruz is somehow anti-education because he opposes the teacher unions. However, when you think about it, unions exist to protect their members’ jobs through collective bargaining. Exactly what their members do is secondary. For example, the United Auto Workers union cares less about the quality of the cars its members produce than they do about making sure those members are paid a good wage with commensurate benefits. The same is true of the teachers unions. Quality of education is secondary to members’ jobs. It isn’t that they’re bad people, they just have a different set of priorities than they want you to think they have.
The bottom line is that every politician is pro-education. They all want our kids to get a good education. However, facts are facts. Despite spending more money on average per student than any other country, US kids rank 17th in math and science and Texas ranks in the forties of the fifty states.
One set of politicians wants to keep doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different result by throwing more money at it while the other set thinks it’s time to try something new. Vouchers are in use in many of the countries the US is behind and in many of the states that Texas is behind. In all the places it’s been implemented, none of the anti-choice crowd’s dire predictions have come true.
So why are the teachers unions and so many education advocacy groups opposed to voucher systems? Because it represents a huge change to the status quo. I have worked in I/T all my life. I have seen firsthand how people fear change, even when it is beneficial and makes their lives easier. This is especially true of people whose jobs and positions of power and authority are tightly tied to the status quo and that certainly describes the teachers unions and much of the education establishment in this country.

Are Christian soldiers going to be prosecuted if they tithe to their church? Donate to Republican politicians who are aligned with the Tea Party?
According to the latest pre-deployment briefings soldiers are getting the answer is a shocking “YES”.
Soldiers attending a pre-deployment briefing at Fort Hood say they were told that evangelical Christians and members of the Tea Party were a threat to the nation and that any soldier donating to those groups would be subjected to punishment under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
A soldier who attended the Oct. 17th briefing told me the counter-intelligence agent in charge of the meeting spent nearly a half hour discussing how evangelical Christians and groups like the American Family Association were “tearing the country apart.”
Michael Berry, an attorney with the Liberty Institute, is advising the soldier and has launched an investigation into the incident.
“The American public should be outraged that the U.S. Army is teaching our troops that evangelical Christians and Tea Party members are enemies of America, and that they can be punished for supporting or participating in those groups,” said Berry, a former Marine Corps JAG officer.
“These statements about evangelicals being domestic enemies are a serious charge.”
The soldier told me he fears reprisals and asked not to be identified. He said there was a blanket statement that donating to any groups that were considered a threat to the military and government was punishable under military regulations.
“My first concern was if I was going to be in trouble going to church,” the evangelical Christian soldier told me. “Can I tithe? Can I donate to Christian charities? What if I donate to a politician who is a part of the Tea Party movement?”
Another soldier who attended the briefing alerted the Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty. That individual’s recollections of the briefing matched the soldier who reached out to me.
“I was very shocked and couldn’t believe what I was hearing,” the soldier said. “I felt like my religious liberties, that I risk my life and sacrifice time away from family to fight for, were being taken away.”
And while a large portion of the briefing dealt with the threat evangelicals and the Tea Party pose to the nation, barely a word was said about Islamic extremism, the soldier said.
Of course, Fort Hood is still recovering from the act of “workplace violence” (as per the Obama Administration) committed by Nadal Hassan. It seems that the world is being tossed on its head.
“Our community is still healing from the act of terrorism brought on by Nidal Hasan – who really is a terrorist,” the soldier said. “This is a slap in the face. “The military is supposed to defend freedom and to classify the vast majority of the military that claim to be Christian as terrorists is sick.”
The Pentagon has hired Mikey Weinstein, an outspoken atheist to rebuild many of its training programs. In the past, Weinstein has stated that all Christians should be killed.
This training smells like Weinstein’s work.
If you are troubled by this news, reach out to your elected officials and let them know that you are outraged.
